Aurel Coste
Blended Online Teacher - Math
Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Aurel earned a Master's of Science in Engineering from the Military Academy in Bucharest. After working as an engineer for several years in both Romania and the US, Aurel took a break from employment to focus on supporting his two sons to achieve academic success. In the meanwhile, Aurel earned a Master's of Arts in Teaching from Western Oregon University in Monmouth.
Having been exposed to and learned several languages, while also meditating on and teaching Math, Aurel realized how closely Math is related to language. If you are Aurel's student, or if you just happen to be around him for a casual conversation, you will likely, sooner or later, hear him make a remark about language. Indeed, Aurel's approach to teaching Math is one where he helps his students view it as a language.
Outside of work, Aurel enjoys traveling, relaxing by a body of water, or playing chess or other strategy games.
