About Carolyn
Born and raised in Portland, Carolyn attended Lincoln High School. After high school, she attended the University of Oregon to study pre-med, where she was the coach/captain of the UO Equestrian Team. She transferred to Portland State University after two years when she realized that Portland was in her heart. In 2007, Carolyn graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in School Health Education and Community Health. Carolyn finished her Masters of Education in 2009, Curriculum and Instruction. Since graduating, Carolyn has had a wide variety of experiences in education. From substituting in Portland Public Schools, teaching health at Portland Evening Scholars and Roosevelt High School, and teaching English in Torreon, Mexico; teaching has always been her passion.

When Carolyn is not teaching, she can be found at the dog park with her son and dog.
