Scott Peck

Born overseas, Scott is a military brat who grew up in Germany, and then Colorado, but is happy to call Portland home. He attended the University of Colorado and the Harvard Kennedy School and is certified to teach secondary English Language Arts in Hawaii and Oregon. Education is his passion and, after beginning his career on the Texas/Mexico border with Teach for America and subsequently working with Boston Public Schools during graduate school, he is returning to the classroom after spending the last ten years practicing law and working in public policy in Washington, D.C., and Seattle. He is excited about Virtual Scholars and looks forward to working with students throughout the district. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading and exploring nature - particularly hiking and trekking - and has hiked all over the world, including the Camino de Santiago in Spain and the Torres del Paine in Patagonia. More than anything, he is perpetually curious about the world, language, travel, and the human experience.
