Max Bramlett
Max was born in Portland and split time growing up here and in the Bay Area. He received his undergraduate degree in history and Spanish from Pomona College, then went on to receive his TEFL certification and started his career teaching English in a bilingual school in Spain. Since returning to Portland, he has worked with Virtual Scholars at Benson and Roosevelt High Schools, where he is thrilled to apply his background in cross-cultural education to helping students complete their credits and transition into life after high school. Outside of work, Max is an avid reader, long-distance runner, D&D player, and language learner.
“Why do you go away? So that you can come back. So that you can see the place you came from with new eyes and extra colors. And the people there see you differently, too. Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving.” -Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky
