Kalonji Paschal

Kalonji Paschal was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, where early life experiences helped shape a strong sense of resilience, responsibility, and commitment to growth. Kalonji is a graduate of Jefferson High School and earned an Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Arizona College, building a solid academic foundation focused on personal development and service to others. Kalonji is a Qualified Mental Health Counselor, a role that reflects both professional training and a deep commitment to supporting individuals through challenges, growth, and change. This background has strengthened skills in communication, empathy, accountability, and leadership. In addition to formal education, Kalonji has extensive experience in athletics, having played football and basketball at a highly competitive level and serving as a middle and high school basketball coach. These experiences directly support educational and professional work by reinforcing discipline, teamwork, mentorship, and the ability to motivate and guide others toward success. Kalonji looks forward to this education opportunity as a way to continue personal and professional growth while serving as an example to students that mistakes do not define the outcome. The goal is to show that perseverance, accountability, and commitment can carry someone through the entire journey—even when setbacks occur. Outside of work, Kalonji enjoys spending quality time with children and family, playing competitive games, cooking, listening to music and watching a wide range of television shows and movies. These activities provide balance, connection, and inspiration.

“Falling down doesn’t make you weak; refusing to get back up does.”
