Julia Partlow 

Julia was born in California and raised in the Willamette Valley.  She graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton, then later went on to earn a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from San Francisco State University and both a master's degree in Education and a master's degree in Teaching Mathematics from Portland State University.  Before starting with Virtual Scholars in 2025, Julia was a mathematics teacher for 19 years.  She taught classes at David Douglas High School, the International School of Beaverton, and Portland Community College.  She believes that one advantage of online learning is the ability of the student to access and work on their course both during school and at home.  When not working, Julia likes to knit, travel, volunteer, and hang out with her husband and cat.
